Planning “Huanglongxi ancient town day trip” or wondering what to bring back from a Chengdu day trip? This loop fits sightseeing and dinner in one day.
Chengdu → Huanglongxi Ancient Town (riverside tea, old streets, the famous “one-noodle”, ~21 min from the expressway) → on the way back, stop at Gongyi Guoshi Luwei (~21 km from the town) for a jin of Liangban Pork and a Sweet-Skin Duck, vacuum-packed → Chengdu–Leshan Expressway home. The stop adds under an hour and sorts out dinner.
The two safest picks: Liangban Pork (fresh-boiled, sliced thin, dressed in red chili oil) and Sweet-Skin Duck (braised, fried, malt-glazed — Pengshan's signature). Want more variety? Add braised trotters, chicken feet, or vegetarian braises. Everything vacuum-packs for the ride or for courier shipping.

Yes — the Jiangkou Sunken Silver Museum (about 13 km from our shop): Ming-dynasty treasure recovered from the Min River, genuinely stunning. If it's an even-numbered date, Gongyi Town also has its traditional market day, the old street at full bustle.
